There are five types of armor.
- Leather
- Gold
- Chain
- Iron
- Diamond
First to make armor, you obviously need to obtain the resources. Leather armor is the recommended starting armor for a player in a new world. Leather armor is obtained by using your sword to kill cows until you collect enough leather for the crafting recipes below. When you collect enough leather that the cows drop, you will soon be fully geared up with leather armor! This gives you more protection from mobs, and you can get armor points. the word "material" you will place the item you have and make it into armor. These are materials you may make armor out of:
- Leather (from cows)
- Chain is obtained by discovery most of the time, perhaps by villager's chests or in mineshafts. If a mob is wearing armor, then after you kill them they'll drop it
- Gold armor is made from gold ingots
- Iron armor is made out of iron ingots
- Diamond armor is the strongest of these and it's made out of diamond gems
To repair your damaged armor, you may put your damaged piece of armor or any tool, and put, in the second slot, the material you made the tool/armor piece out of. This will cost enchant levels, so make sure you have enough! You can also repair with a crafting table. Anvils aren't just for repairing, you can also rename your Diamond Sword (or anything you have) to a different name!
